Sena staff cane autorickshaw drivers to implement bandh in Thane, NCP males pressure shut outlets in Vashi

Activists of the Shiv Sena and the NCP organised a joint rally in Thane on Monday as a part of the Maharashtra bandh known as by three companions within the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) authorities to protest the killing of 4 farmers in Uttar Pradeshโ€™s Lakhimpur Kheri district.

In neighbouring Navi Mumbai, activists of the Nationalist Congress Celebration (NCP) threatened shopkeepers and compelled them to down shutters close to the APMC market space in Vashi.

Many shopkeepers complained of the lack of enterprise because of the โ€œcompelled shutdownโ€.

The shutdown evoked response in Boisar and Vasai within the Palghar district neighbouring Thane. Police mentioned no untoward incident was reported.
