KABUL: Women and lecturers have urged the Taliban to reopen colleges for women and younger ladies.
Faculties for women have been closed for about two months after the Taliban takeover. Solely three provinces in Afghanistan– Balkh, Kunduz and Sar-i- Pul– have reopened colleges for women.
Madina, a Twelfth-grade scholar of a faculty in Kabul wished for colleges to reopen within the capital metropolis and different provinces too.
“I’m optimistic about reopening colleges in some provinces. We want that colleges shall be opened in Kabul and different provinces. Because the winter is coming and the climate is getting chilly and services are very restricted in public colleges, so then we won’t examine,” she mentioned.
Ashoqullah, who’s a schoolteacher, mentioned that ladies have the appropriate to training and colleges have to be reopened instantly.

Earlier on Monday, United Nations Secretary-Basic Antonio Guterres mentioned that the Taliban has damaged all the guarantees made to Afghan ladies and ladies.
