TOKYO: Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata will be part of the fifth Crew Dragon space mission to fly to the International Space Station (ISS) subsequent 12 months, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Company (JAXA) stated on Tuesday.
“It has been determined that I might be boarding the SpaceX‘s fifth Crew Dragon. I’ve been coaching for a long-duration mission aboard the ISS and it’s an honor to board this new area automobile for 3 consecutive years for JAXA Astronauts, succeeding Noguchi Soichi and Hoshide Akihiko,” Wakata was quoted as saying in a press release.
