Pamela weakens after hitting Mexico, heads towards Texas

MEXICO CITY — Tropical Storm Pamela weakened to a tropical melancholy Wednesday after slamming into Mexico’s coast as a hurricane, although forecasters warned that its wet remnants might trigger flooding in elements of Texas and Oklahoma within the coming days.
